Utah also announced the commitment of Lorenzo Bonam, a 6-4 guard from Inkster, Michigan, for the 2015-16 season.
Bonam averaged 16.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists this past season on his way to earning third-team All-American status at Gillette College in Wyoming. In two years, Bonam led the Pronghorns to a 56-12 mark, starting 64 of a possible 68 contests.
During his freshman season, Bonham was an All-Region selection as well as an All- Region IX Tournament choice.
Prior to Gillette, Bonam played at Robichaud High School where he averaged 23 points, five rebounds and six assists a game. He also received numerous honors, including Associated Press and Detroit Free Press All-State and All Conference, as well as All-City by the Dearborn Heights Press.
“Lorenzo provides another threat in our backcourt and will compete for time at both guard spots,” Krystkowiak added. “We are excited to have him on campus as a part of the Ute family.”
