This won't be a thread that generates a lot of discussion but I often sense that we're all very guarded in our optimism when we make someone's "top 5" or someone visits. That led me to wonder how many football recruits and basketball recruits visit in a year. Let's say the number in football is 75 (just a guess), then that means we have about a 33% chance of landing any recruit discussed on the board as a visitor. I won't even guess the numbers for basketball.
Anyway, I'd be curious to know how many recruits Utah hosts each year on average and what the approximate number of scholies awarded are each year.
If the information is available, it would also be interesting to know how many are "offered" each year. Let's say that's 150 in football (just a guess, again). Then we would have about a 16.5% chance of landing anyone who is offered.
Thanks.
