A special shout-out to the media that refuses to play by the rules--ruining it for so many others who do things right. Because of this, Liz Abel just sent out this email:
Effective immediately, there will be no media observation period at Utah football practices during the regular season. The policies for spring camp and preseason camp will not change.
The interview schedule also remains unchanged with interviews typically conducted after practice on Mondays and Tuesdays (exceptions are the week of the season opener, Thursday games and the bye week).
Below are the revised regular-season media policies:
• Regular season practices are closed.
• Interviews are typically conducted after practice on Mondays (players*) and Tuesdays (players, Coach Whittingham, two assistant coaches).
*Participants at the Monday press conference will not be available after practice that day.
• For weeks with Thursday games, the only media access is the Monday press conference. There are no assistant coach interviews
the weeks of Thursday games and byes.
• 10-minute limit on player interviews beginning when they come off the field.
• Still photographers must give 24-hour advance notice for portrait photos following practice.
