displaced's post in the 1280 thread got me thinking....
Special teams have been a staple of Whittingham ball for as long as I can remember, but I can't remember all the good kickers and punters. Certain names roll of the tongue.
King Louie Sakoda
Automatic Andy Phillips
Tommy The Bacon Kicker Hackett
Mitch The Wish Wishnowksy
Who are the other greats to very good kickers. It seems like we probably need to go back to Urban to find a team that had only an average player at both Kicker and Punter.
I know I could look this up, but the point is that we have had more good players I should remember off the top of my head than this.
We had the one Punter with a huge leg who had the long wind up and was prone to having punts blocked. Played around 2010.
Then it seems we had a kicker who was just a kickoff specialist who was here before Andy and was a guaranteed touchback.
Post anyone I can't remember...but only if you know the names by memory.![Wink ;) ;)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
