Are single digit numbers the prized numbers to have these days?
Seems like this became a #thing a few years ago (e.g., Nate and Reilly switching to 8 and 9). Now we've seen guys like Simpkins and Jaylon J. respectively switch from 17 and 7 to 3 (and then to 7) and 1. Some other noted moves to lower numbers.

The Artist Formerly Known As George Wilson going to Siaosi Wilson (in 2016), then to Siaosi Mariner (in 2017), and from 80 to 8 (in 2018). I fully expect this kid will just have symbol on the back of his jersey next year. No numbers, no name, just a symbol.
