- What is Brazil’s goal for this Copa América?
Brazil’s goal will always be to reach the top of the podium, to be champions—especially knowing that this competition grants a spot in the World Cup.
- Everyone sees Brazil as the team to beat. Does that put pressure on you?
We are aware of our strength and that all our rivals want to defeat the world champion, but we are preparing to stay on top.
- What are the strengths of this Brazilian squad?
We have a very strong and dedicated team, and above all, we are united. That unity drives us to fight together in pursuit of our goals.
- How did you get into beach soccer?
I played many years in society football and traditional football, trying to fulfill my dream of becoming a player. When I was beginning to lose hope, a friend invited me to play for a beach soccer team (11-a-side) called Juventus on Copacabana Beach. Shortly after, I played a friendly match against Botafogo. The club’s management was pleased with my performance and invited me to join their beach soccer team. From that moment on, I got to know the sport in depth and realized how far it could take me.
Currently playing for Flamengo (Brazil) and Kristall (Russia), Rodrigo has won the world championship twice.asdsadsad
