I was watching Matt Gay kick in warm-ups before the Weber State game. I was sitting right behind the goal posts in the South end zone and his kicks were IMPRESSIVE to say the least. He kicked one from 65 yards that hit the net - it didn't just barely clear the cross bar. I'm thinking there will be a time this year where he kicks a 65-yarder in a game.

For the record, the longest field goal in college is 67 yards and it's been done 4 times; most recently in 1988. A kicker kicked an 80 yard field goal in practice - for some perspective.

So what's your prediction, does he break the record of 67 yards by lining up at our 49 yard line with 3 seconds left on the clock and we are down by 2 so we decide to try a game-winning field goal from 68 yards or does he at least get a field goal from 60+ yards?
