The Las Vegas venue will host a stacked card, building to a main event between flyweight king Alexandre Pantoja and Kai Asakura.
Asakura, a former bantamweight champion in Rizin, is making his UFC debut here in an intriguing turn of events. But even more intriguing, perhaps, is the night’s co-main event – a clash between unbeaten contenders and former training partners...
Shavkat Rakhmonov will fight Ian Machado Garry to determine the next challenger for the welterweight title, after champion Belal Muhammad withdrew from UFC 310 – and a defence against Rakhmonov – due to infection.
In this fight, the South American (28-5) puts his world flyweight title on the line against a rival who was chosen because of the lack of challengers in the category, but at the same time is a bet of Dana White, as great things are said about the Japanese fighter, who is looking to spring a surprise.
The event will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Pantoja comes into this fight on a six-fight winning streak, to make the third defense of his world title in less than a year.
Asakura, who will make his UFC debut, has two MMA bantamweight championships.
The event will take place on Saturday, December 7, and will begin at 18:00 Eastern Time (15:00 PT) with the preliminary fights, while the main card will begin at 22:00 ET (19:00 PT)
