Head Coach Kyle Whittingham interview points 7-28-17

Hey everyone! Fall camp is here and I couldn’t be happier. I jumped in on the interview with Coach Whittingham and got some solid information.


- “Own the Program” is one of this seasons mottos. Guys are really buying into it and he’s pleased with what he saw as far as the intensity level of practice. He said it was very apparent that the guys had put in a lot of work this summer at player run practices and it’ll be a big benefit in the log run.

- The seniors stepped up and are doing what they need to do.

- Darren Carrington is working and learning. He’s willing and has a great work ethic and that was evident at practice.

- The secondary is looking good – even with the younger guys.

- The WR position is wide open. Everyone is getting reps.

- Armand Shyne, Zack Moss, Devonta'e Henry-Cole, and T.J. Green were all solid at RB. Shyne is at the top.

- OL and Secondary are the two biggest position groups that need to be solidified.

- The last three years they haven’t gotten over the hump, which was a big part in bringing Troy Taylor in now. He knows QB’s and throwing.

- Red zone, throwing, and scoring are areas of focus heading into this upcoming season.
