I have heard/read several times that Utah has a culture where players work hard (harder than most teams) and the team is tightly knit (tighter than most teams). With Whit's personality, it is easy to see why the team would be hard working and disciplined. My perception is that Whit is not a "players coach" at the level of McBride. He is more of a cross between Urban & McBride.
Here is my question. Who is the driving force behind the tight knit culture? I am guessing that Whit lets people like Scalley and Sitake (in the past) play that role. Any insight from an insider would be appreciated.
