Just leaving practice, man was it toasty out there today!
- Cody Barton is becoming a vocal leader both on defense and during some special teams work. At one point he was up in an offensive lineman and let him have him it. It's been cool to see that quite, but confident leader come out.
- While the offensive was working on red zone stuff, they forced a field goal. Everyone was pumped up about it. Situational things need to be worked on, but in the red zone practice, smarter decisions were made across the board.
- Sunia Tauteoli missed a tackle during one of the series and it led for a big gain on offense One thing that stuck out to me was how quickly the defense came together after that to regroup.
- Leadership is something that has stuck out to Scalley this season, in each position there is someone who is vocal. Lowell Lotuleeli, Filipo Mokofisi, Bradley Anae, Cody Barton, Sunia Tauteoli. Chase Hansen does a lot of his leadership in meetings at the moment. Julian Blackmon and Casey Hughes are both vocal leaders.
- Both Maxs Tupai and Leki Fotu have a knowledge of the defense coming into the second season making it easy for coaches to not bat an eye when trying to get fresh bodies in.
