The Duke-North Carolina women's soccer rivalry dates to 1989, and Friday night's national semifinal will be the 56th meeting between the two programs. The Tar Heels have the most national championships with 22 but haven't won one since 2012. Stanford is seeking its third national title since 2017. The Cardinal lost to Florida State 5-1 in the championship game a season ago.

The Seahawk's goals were scored by Ramona Kannady, Ithunn Gunnarsdottir, Maria Vilhena, and Delfina Lombardi. Assists were credited to Steingerthur Snorrad and Lauren Riley.

Tennessee Southern struggled to generate offense, with only four shots in the entire game compared to Keiser's (Fla.) 13 shots. KU's defense held strong, limiting Tennessee Southern's opportunities and shutting them out completely.

Keiser's goalkeeper Maude Rouanet had a quiet game with no saves needed, while Tennessee Southern's Stephanie Hodgson made three saves. The game saw a few yellow cards handed out, with Maria Vilhena, Kira Goodwin, and Olivia Pousette all receiving cautions.

Keiser will meet up with the Cougars of Columbia (Mo.) in the 4 p.m. CT game on Saturday.
