Did Thompson get his Medical Redshirt

So earlier today Kendal Thompson sent out an interesting tweet about Utes being playoff contenders in 2016. Currently Thompson is scheduled to be a senior next year, but I know he was trying for a medical redshirt, which would make him a senior in 2016.

Is this a cryptic tweet that he got his redshirt?
