Conservative gameplan

I was told by someone before the season started that Whittingham was going to show nothing of what the offense could do these first two games. He was going to keep these first two games very conservative in formations and play calling.

When Utah needed a td in the 3rd qtr we saw some things we hadn’t seen as of yet this season like the WR bunch formation pass to Covey that he took down to the 1 before being tackled.

There are obviously two schools of thought here. Chris Peterson is gonna come guns blazin from the first play of the first game and just make you prepare for everything. While Whit wants to keep things secret and keep you guessing.

I think what we’ve seen so far is only a very small sample of what this offense can do.

Also the conservative play calling the offense easier to defend unless you have perfect execution.

I’m withholding judgment on Huntley the Oline Harding and Whit til after the Washington game.
