Coach Ludwig is happy with the current group of players, a lot of those guys are in the fourth year same system, they’ve had to make very few changes in the system coming into the season, some tweaks and modifications but nothing those guys haven’t been exposed to. He said you have to be careful about putting so much trust, you don’t want miss the fundamentals and dive too deep into the play schemes.

Minor changes have been made, Ludwig said there are some plays designed, some new wrinkles(not plays) but new wrinkles with players skills sets in mind. Stating, whether it’s perimeter players, wideouts or the tight ends; a few things for the running backs. Again, he reiterated these guys have been working in the same system for three or four years and they all have a lot of confidence right now.

He said it’s an open competition for the running backs and it’s a good group, especially with Thomas, Micah, Jaylon, Chris Curry it’s good, but they obviously know what Tavion Thomas is all about and what a weapon he can be for the offense.

He was also excited about the new players coming in. The group of new guys they have a lot of athleticism and length. Stating they have a lot of tall, long guys, that can really run. Drinking water through a fire hose just trying to get lined up, much less getting lined up for the appropriate route but, he’s really pumped up about the receiving core.

The offensive line is really good, the depth, says coach Harding will absolutely get the best five lined up in the right spot, very confident about it. All those guys they’re counting on have played significant snaps making him confident in the depth - they plan on figuring out the starting group within the next couple of days.
