-Lots of positives for the offense out of the scrimmage. They had a lot of explosive plays and they also took care of the football.

-Echoed Whittingham that they want a backup QB decision after the next scrimmage. He wants the guys to get another week of work.

-Ludwig was asked what they can work on after the scrimmage and he said he could nitpick a hundred things. Pad level, OL first step in the run game, QBs identify some pressure defenses.

-Says the OL is a really solid group.

-He loves that there’s no need to have any new OL guys ready, but he wants them to be ready with that edge to their game, just in case.

-They’re really excited about the WR group and maturity of Money Parks and also Makai Cope. Vele has been great and Enis has been solid, they know what they’ll always get in him. There’s some young guys still trying to figure things out, but they’re dynamic without a doubt.

-Money Parks has been able to play faster and more aggressive, which Ludwig credits his system knowledge.

-Jaylon Glover provides an element that allows the offense to keep defenses off-balance.

-Rising is in a good spot. He’s a master of the scheme and a coach on the field. He’s a great leader and such a positive presence. (Glowing paise from Ludwig, who said, “I think that’s enough superlatives.”)

-Analytics are key in deciding the backup QB. They chart every pass. They also take into account busted routes and so on.
