After Thursday's practice Coach Whittingham took a few minutes to talk to the media and this is what he talked about :
- Starting tomorrow the team will start their game week prep for the Weber State Wildcats, focusing more on their schemes and strategy for next Thursday.
- Whittingham has a lot of respect for the Weber State program and what coach Jay Hill has done for that program. The coaches feel like they have a decent idea of what they can expect from Weber State due to the familiarity of Jay Hill's defensive schemes as well as offensive coordinator Dave Schramm.
- This week and next week the team will mainly be "fine-tuning" the alignments and attempt to eliminate as many mental mistakes as possible.
- Whittingham preferred not to comment on the Urban Meyer situation but did say the coaches try to learn from everything and pay attention to what's going on to other people.
- Coach Whittingam also reminded the media that every decision made in this program is to benefit the players, they have a "players-first" mentality based on the players and their welfare.
- The 6-8 receivers are set but we will find out who they are when the depth chart comes out.
- Previously the media had been told that a depth chart would be released on Friday, but Whittingham announced today that it won't be till Monday.
