-They have eight guys they’re really comfortable with. The scrimmage actually really helped with clarity

-They have lots of experience, but no seniors in the room. Something Harding says is crazy to think.

-Maile’s leadership and toughness have been huge for the group. He’s the most vocal guy out there. He has a really high football IQ. He can be 2-3 steps ahead of everyone in the room. He played in some really important games down the stretch, before his injury.

-Kump is rusty. He’s had 10 practices in the last 10 months. He’s in the top eight and pushing for the top five. He has so much drive and a great work ethic.

-Falcon Kaumetule was 302 pounds for the last weigh-in. He and Kump are battling out for the right tackle position. The only thing he doesn’t have is a ton of game experience.

-Johnny Maea has battled a lot of injuries as a Ute. He can play guard if he needs to, but Harding wants him at center and doesn’t want to move him.

-Harding praises Utah fans as the best in the conference. He acknowledges that his guys started slow last year. He’s learned to not try guys at so many positions for versatility, instead, focusing on getting the starting five locked in and focused on a specific job.
