Utah senior running back Devontae Booker has been named to the watch list for the Maxwell Award while senior linebacker Jared Norris is on the watch list for the Bednarik Award. The Maxwell Award is given to America's College Player of the Year and the Bednarik Award is presented to the College Defensive Player of the Year. Both are awarded by the Maxwell Football Club.

A first-team All-Pac-12 selection in 2014, Booker averaged 116.3 yards per game and his 1,512 net yards included a Pac-12-best 815 yards after contact--almost 200 more than his closest contender. He also has great hands--catching 43 passes for 306 yards, including a 110-yard receiving game against Oregon. Booker's 144.2 all-purpose yards per game was second in the Pac-12.

Norris, Utah's leading tackler a year ago with 116 stops, finished third in the Pac-12 in tackles per game (8.9) and was fourth in total tackles (116). He was named honorable mention All-Pac-12 and was the Las Vegas Bowl Defensive "Out-Performer" of the game. Norris has started since his sophomore season.

Semifinalists for the Maxwell and Bednarik Awards will be announced November 23, 2015, while the three finalists for each award will be unveiled November 23, 2015. The winners of the 2015 Maxwell and Bednarik Awards will be announced as part of the Home Depot College Football Awards Show held on December 10, 2015.

Several football watch lists for awards handed out through the National College Football Awards Association will be released through July 17. For more information, visit http://ncfaa.org/.
