So my wife and I were on a cruise in the carribean and ran into an interesting couple from Oklahoma. He had a OU shirt on, I was rocking my U hat. Anyway after awhile he asks if I follow the Ute football program at all, my wife is still laughing, and I say I do. He then asks if I know of Kendall Thompson, which I say yes I do. He then tells me that he, along with Kendalls dad, coached Kendall in youth football. He, and his wife, couldn't say enough good things about KT both as a player and player. Says KT is the smartest football player he has coached. He felt if KT could stay healthy then the Utes could do some great things this season..I mentioned it would be nice if we could get any QB healthy all season.
Also it was nice going the entire week without seeing any YBU gear, although when I got on our flight from Houston to SLC the co-pilot mentioned he went to BYU. I laughed and told the pilot to not let this guy fly the plane. Also when I went through TSA in Miami the guy gave me some raze about my Ute hat and flashed me the hand sign and I informed him we had been the U for over 100 years, his TSA mates were loving it.
