Perhaps it is a bit of an overeaction, however the Pac12 should put a premium on player safety and that dirty play could have had major implications on a young mans career and Utah's chances in the tournaments.
I wonder what the call would have been had he ended up injured under the basket? Paul Georges injury comes to mind.
Either way, there is no place for that in basketball and I am glad we sent that out of control punk out of the tournament. More importantly I am glad that our big man is ok.
