Ty Jordan is a high three-star (5.7) and among the top APB in the country. All-purpose backs, IMO, are not just undersized runners. They bring some added perspective for speedy backs who are major assets in the passing game, special teams, etc.
With that in mind ... here are some thoughts on the new Utah commitment
Jordan is not only slippery, but a tough runner who's very smooth in and out of his breaks, has excellent balance and quick feet. He does is best running to the outside -- largely because he has fantastic acceleration. In the past, Jordan has clocked a verified 10.52-second 100-meter and a 4.53 40.
Based on his junior and senior tapes, I've felt he's a complimentary piece to an offense or special teams. He's a return specialist, a gadget player, a third-down back and a true home-run threat. I love when Jordan has the ball in space -- he can make defenders miss and invites the contact. Any time he touches the ball, he's a threat to take it to the house. He has fantastic hands and could line up in the slot there, too.
