All Poly wrapped up camp today with their scrimmage. Once again it was a great event and I'm thrilled that I was not only invited back to participate in the NFL Play 60 event but allowed full access to the actual camp itself. Alema Te'o out-does himself every year and probably is one of the most underrated individuals in sports in the state of Utah if not outside of it too. I can't express how big and widespread this camp is but I will try.
Talking with RoJo yesterday before NFL Play 60 kicked off he was telling me he recognized team uniforms from a high school located in Pennsylvania. While he was still playing in the NFL Robert would spend a lot of time in Reading, PA training with Louie Vito, Apollo Ono, and Stevenson Sylvester which is how he recognized them. That is not a puddle jump for those kids to come out to this camp and is indicative of the quality training and visibility they know they will be receiving by coming out to Utah. Other states represented were Trinity in Texas, Reno High in Nevada, Kahuku High in Hawaii as well as others. Obviously just about every high school in Utah had kids present.
As for college coaches present you had the usual suspects in Utah, Weber State, Utah State and Southern Utah. I don't recall seeing anyone from BYU but I have a hard time believing no one was there. Out of state coaches included Washington State, USC, Wyoming, Idaho State, Oregon State, Stanford and Oklahoma.
