Karene Reid:
•Said it feels good to be the most experienced on the roster and knowing exactly what he wants. He’s been here through the ups and downs, he hopes to provide his leadership skills to the team
When asked about the roster of news guys
•He can’t believe the amount they have and noted that fall camp is not easy and he hopes that along with Junior Tafuna that reach out to the new guys and bring them in because the talent has always been there on the roster.
•Big priority for Reid in fall camp is keeping the culture the same and teach the young guys how to live up to the expectations of coach Whittingham that have worked for the past 20 years.
Lander Barton:
•Says it feels good to be back, focused on improving and working through the mental thoughts after coming back from an injury
•Wants to be more vocal this year and be an impactful leader of the linebacker group
Junior Tafuna:
•Big focus is making sure the new guys understand the culture and buy in. Said the time for fall camp is very short and it’s important to be ready.
•Knows how important his role is as a leader to teach the young guys how important it is to maintain the team’s purpose
Zemaiah Vaughn:
•Says his job right now is getting the young guys locked in on their techniques.
•Loves setting up against the group of wide receivers, says he’s really hasn’t had guys in the past that shifty to keep him true to his technique when practicing and preparing. Noting he’ll keep them ready and they’ll keep him ready.
