It was a great interview with Jackson today:

-He wants to just work and focus on one day at a time. One thing he wants to work at is catching the ball in open space.

-It was great being back out there other than the punishment from practice, he said laughing.

-He says he has the running game down, but he needs to improve it also.

-They’re trying to get the 3-peat plus more. They’re looking at the Pac-12 Championship, but they’re also looking at the CFP. It’s a good motivation for them to keep going and doing what they’ve been doing.

-He’s breakout at the end of last season felt great. He acknowledged that if it was up to him that he would have given up a long time ago, but he had people who helped him through it. Now he’s eager to succeed because of everyone looking up to him and depending on him.

-He said he really leaned on the whole running back room. He started naming Glover and Curry, but then acknowledged the whole room and even their GA. He mentioned they’re one big family that still hangs out even outside of football. He called the group one of a kind. Their group is “one” and they have fun together.

-He mentioned he’s as comfortable as you can get at running back. He’s having fun with it and loves it.

-He said Coach Ganther told him what he needs to work on and he’s working on it this spring. He trusts his opinion. Receptions, reading the holes and pass blocking is everything he wants to place focus on this spring.

-It’s an 11 man game, if a team is placing their focus on stopping him, the opponent is going to have problems because they have weapons all over the field.
