I just spoke with Joseph, who released a top 8 yesterday which included Utah.
Joseph has already taken official visits to Northwestern and Texas Tech, and has another visit to Arizona coming up. He hasn't visited Utah yet, either officially or unofficially, and he's not sure if he'll be taking more official visits with the dead period looming. Joseph did say that if he were to take his last two official visits, they would likely be in late August/early September. He also said that Utah and Purdue are the leading candidates to get those last two visits, as they, along with the other three already mentioned, are the schools which talk to Joseph the most. He wants to commit either before or early in the season, in order to lock down a spot, although I got the impression that he would still be open to being recruited after his commitment.
Brandon said he has a good relationship with Coach Scalley, and that the two talk or text frequently. Something that Scalley does that Brandon likes is to ask him a different question about himself every day in order to get to know him better.
